Hustling around Hoi An
Hoi An is a tourist favourite - whoever you speak to always sings praises about the place. There's a lot to offer like a beach, shopping, great food and temples. Draped in lanterns, it's a beautiful place to walk around in the evening with a lot of bars by the river.
Compared to the rest of Vietnam, Hoi An is quite expensive for souvenirs. However, if you were looking for some tailor made pieces, Hoi An is full of places where you can get made a suit, workwear, dresses or even swimwear! It's all really cheap as well considering it's all made to fit and they make adjustments too. The night market is also really cheap for souvenirs if you can haggle.
The night market of Hoi An is just by the river. It's full of lanterns, souvenirs and night market food. You can get your hustling head on and barter down to get some real bargains to take home with you. If you want to eat something new, you can find stalls with octopus and frogs for those with a daring appetite.
Most places around Hoi An offer the option to rent a bicycle for £1 for the day. The popular beach doesn't have the greatest reviews but if you head further down the road, you'll see a small sign to the Hidden Beach. It's not crowded, the water is clean and it's the perfect place to relax and take some time out from walking around and exploring the town.
Try Cao Lau or a Bahn Mi
There's plenty of restaurants with Hoi An being one of the most popular destinations in Vietnam. If you're wanting to try a local dish, these two are definitely recommended. A Cao Lau is made of noodles, pork and greens where as a Bahn Mi is a Vietnamese baguette with meat, veg, and chilli is in. Both are really affordable for a backpacker on a budget.

Next to Hoi An, you can visit the Marble Mountains. On your climb up, you will encounter many temples and caves. They're all differing to each other and have something unique to offer. If you want, you can also climb to the highest peak where you reach a viewpoint. The stairs are really steep and it does take it out of you but it's worth it once you get to the top.
Rent a bike and ride the Hai Van Pass
If you're next stop is Hue or if you're going to Hoi An from there, your going to be driving such a scenic route as featured on Top Gear. There are a lot of bike rental companies that offer a package where they transfer your luggage to the next destination whilst you ride for the day. On your map, there will be stop offs like the Lang Co Beach and Elephant Springs. The views on this drive are amazing and not to miss!
Walk the Golden Hand's Bridge
You may have seen this on many travel Instagram pages. The famous hand bridge in Ba Na Hills. This is in Sunworld resort and for your entrance fee, you can get a buffet dinner as well as cable car access around the resort. It's all French medieval themed so the buildings are quite interesting to stroll around.
